Bread In a Bag

Ingredients
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package rapid rise yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons non-fat dry milk
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
Directions
1. In a large Ziploc freezer bag, combine 1 cup of flour, sugar, yeast and warm water. Squeeze most of the air out of the bag, and seal. Squish with your hands until well blended. Set aside to rest for 10 minutes at room temperature, or until bubbles appear.
2. In a separate bowl, stir together 1 cup of flour, dry milk, oil and salt. Pour into the Ziploc bag and squeeze out most of the air. Seal, and squish until well blended. Add the last cup of flour to the bag, and continue mixing in the same manner until well blended.
3. Remove the dough from the bag, and place on a floured surface.  Knead for 5 to 8 minutes. Form into a small loaf, and place in a greased 8x4 inch loaf pan. Cover with a towel, and allow to rise for about 30 minutes, or until your finger leaves an impression when you poke the top of the loaf gently.
4. Preheat the oven to 375.
5. Bake the bread for 35 minutes until golden brown.

Space Songs

Star Light Star Bright
Star light, Star Bright
First Star I see tonight
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have the wish I wish tonight
Then ask the children to each make a wish

Hey Diddle Diddle
Hey Diddle Diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon.
The little dog laughed
To see such sport,
And the dish ran away
With the spoon.

I'm an Astronaut
Sung to "Jimmy Crack Corn"
I'm an astronaut flying in space.
Going in my rocket ship to someplace.
Maybe landing on Plutoooooo
I'm just ready to GO!

Ten Astronauts (finger play)
Ten astronauts in a rocket ship
Hold up fingers and touch both hands together at fingertips to make point of rocket.
Flying through space gonna make a little trip
Keep point of rocket with hands and go back and forth
Going past Mars and Jupiter, too!
Ten little astronauts. what a crew! Hold up 10 fingers.

Four Little Stars
Four little stars winking at me,
One shot off and then there were three,
Three little stars with nothing to do,
One shot off and then there were two,
Two little stars afraid of the sun,
One shot off and then there was one.
One little star not having fun,
It shot off and then there was none.

Astronaut Song
Sung to "If you're happy and you know it"
Outer space is where I really like to go.
I ride inside a spaceship, don't you know?
I like to travel near the stars,
Wave to Jupiter and Mars,
Outer space is where I really like to go.

Planet Song
Sung to Ants Go Marching
The Planets Revolve around the sun....hurrah, hurrah
The Planets Revolve around the sun....hurrah, hurrah
The Planets revolve around the sun, they spin on their axis everyone
And they all go spinning...around and around they go

Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars...hurrah, hurrah
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars...hurrah, hurrah
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars all whirling and twirling among the stars
And they all go spinning around, and around they go

Jupiter and Saturn next in line.... hurrah, hurrah
Jupiter and Saturn next in line.... hurrah, hurrah
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto makes nine
And they all go spinning around, and around they go
Boom, boom, BOOM!

I'm a little Rocket
Sung to "I'm a Little Teapot"
I'm a little rocket pointing at the moon.
Raise arms above head and fingers tips touching
Now I'm getting fueled up
  Wiggle hips
We'll be ready soon.
  Stand up straight and tall
When it's time to board me, then I'll say
Slowly bend knees and crouch down - arms still above head
Blast off! Zoom! We're on our way.
  Jump and shout!

The Man in the Moon
The man in the moon
Looked out of the moon,
Looked out of the moon and said,
It's time, I think, for all good children
To think about going to bed.

Bend and Stretch
Bend and stretch, reach for the stars.
There goes Jupiter, here comes Mars.
Bend and stretch , reach for the sky
Stand on tip-e-toe, oh! so high!
The Human Body

Human Body Songs

Here We go Looby Loo
Here we go looby loo,
Here we go looby light.
Here we go looby loo,
All on a Saturday night.

You put a hand in,
You take a hand out.
You give your hand a shake, shake, shake,
And turn yourself about.
Repeat chorus and second verse using "a foot; your head; whole self."

The Ocean

Songs

Hermit Crab Cha Cha Rhythm
The Hermit Crab Cha Cha Cha
It has no home cha cha cha
It has no shell cha cha cha
To call its own cha cha cha
As it scurries along in the ocean near the shore
Cha cha cha Cha cha cha

A Tiny Fish
A tiny fish I'd like to be,
I would,
The great big oceans I would see,
I would;
I'd wiggle my fins and flap my tail,
I'd go as fast as any sail,
I'd see the wide world without fail,
I would.
I'd visit all the tropical fish.
I would,
I'd share with them my every wish,
I would;
I'd ride the whale, play with the eel,
And yet, alas! I'm sure I'd feel
I'd make for some big fish for a meal,
I would.

My Octopus Song
Sung to "Three Blind Mice"
Octopus, Octopus
In the sea, in the sea
To swim they use all 8 of their arms
Their color changes to hide from harm
They live in the sea, not on a farm
The Octopus

I'm a Big Whale
Sung to "Clementine"
I am swimming, I am swimming,
I am swimming in the Sea.
I'm a big whale and I'm swimming,
I am swimming in the sea.

I am singing, I am singing,
I am singing in the sea.
I'm a big whale and I'm singing,
I am singing in the sea.

I am spouting, I am spouting,
I am spouting in the sea.
I'm a big whale and I'm spouting,
I am spouting in the sea.

A Sailor went to Sea
A sailor went to sea, sea, sea
To see what he could see, see, see
But all that he could see, see, see
Was the bottom of the deep blue sea, sea, sea.

Songs

Do the Turkey Hop
Do the turkey hop,
Do the turkey run,
hop, then run in place
Do the turkey gobble,
it's a lot of fun.
make gobble sounds

Now flap your wings
Like the turkeys do,
Flap arms at sides
Then run from the farmer
before he catches you!
run away
